Shedding Bad Habits

This is the wondrous season where we get to see the leaves become brilliant and the weather drop in temperature.  The earth gets rid of the things that no longer serve it, and gives way to a dormant phase of life.  And just when it seems the bitter cold will never end, spring awakens the plants back to life with its gracious, warm breath.

 

Just as the weather repeats its patterns annually, we face seasons of our lives.  Let’s use the current shift in season as a reminder to look around and be aware at what’s going on in our lives.

What habits, events, or ways of thinking are no longer serving you?  You can change the way you think, and you should so that it suits you and enables you to have the life you want.  You are in control of soooo much, so grab the reins and steer your life exactly where you want.

What can you get rid of in your personal life this autumn season?  What habits would you willingly say goodbye to?

Say adios to the relationships that are destructive, or at least to the role you are allowing the destructive person to have in your mind.  There may even be a voice in your own head that needs to leave you.

Just as a cicada sheds its skin and gives way to a new insect underneath, you can slough off your old ways of being and behaving so  you can show off the different, beautiful, lovely you that was there all along.

So, happy fall, everyone out there, and let all destructive negativities “fall” out of your life (see what I did there?!), so love and goodness can take its place.
